On October 20th, about 60 girl scouts, Juniors and Brownies, participated in an annual Science Celebration Hosted by local NP Troops 81 and 324. The juniors learned about erosion, temperature, air pressure while the brownies where taught how objects move by creating windsocks, helicopters and pinwheels. For new girls just starting out in girl scouting, this gives them the opportunities to meet new people and make new friends while learning a valuable lesson. |
