Parenti, President “SCACOP” Dignitaries: Wayne J. Forrest, Prosecutor Somerset County Doug Kimmelmann, President Crime Stoppers The Somerset County Association of Chiefs of Police has formed a strategic partnership with Crime Stoppers of Somerset County. This alliance will support each and every Law Enforcement Agency throughout the County. Please join us as we unveil our first venture for 2007, and present a Rapid Water Response Boat named “Marine 2” to Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest’s Dive and Rescue team. This specialized boat provides rapid deployment to areas that, either could not be accessed or would delay the response if a regular boat were used. The boat was purchased by means of a grant from Crime Stoppers of Somerset County. The presentation is being held at the start of a Dive Team training exercise and will provide an excellent opportunity to video or photograph “Marine 2” and the County Dive Team in action. Directions: Round Valley Reservoir: Take Rt. 78 west to exit 20A, Cokesbury Road. Go south on Cokesbury Road to Rt. 22 west, just a block or two. Take 22 west to County Rt. 629, Lebanon Stanton Rd./ Round Valley Access. It's probably under a mile. Use jug handle to cross Rt. 22 and go south on 629. South on 629 to the second left, about a mile and a half, and turn left into Round Valley Recreational Area. Once on the park entrance road, bear right and go past the Ranger Station. Once past the station, make first right and go to the bottom of the hill by the campers boat launch parking lot. We will be set up there. |
