Open
House for Fire Prevention Week The
North Plainfield Fire Department will be hosting its annual Open House
for Fire Prevention Week on Saturday, October 15th between the
hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The location this year will be
at North Plainfield Fire Headquarters. The
smoke house trailer will be there for demonstrations, along with all
fire apparatus on display. The firefighters will also conduct demonstrations
for certain rescue scenarios. There will be coffee and light refreshments
and everyone is welcome! Thank

Bills Being Mailed The
2005-2006 tax bills are being mailed during the week of August 22, 2005.
The Borough had to delay adoption of the 2005 municipal budget and issuing
the tax bills due to the late receipt of State of New Jersey Extraordinary
Aid in the amount of $400,000. The grace period for payment of the bills
